In 2021 the estimated number of children in foster care was 606,031. As of 2022 there were 24,245 children in foster care in the state of Florida. In most cases the children arrive with their belongings in trash bags and upon reaching the age of 18, they leave with them in trash bags.
Suitcases for Dignity is a program offered by the Abundant Life Community Development Center providing suitcases with basic startup products needed to begin their lives as young adults. Our goal is to provide a sense of dignity and support as they face the adult world alone.
You can sponsor one youth for only $100.00. Your sponsorship will provide the following:
